As I was going to London for a meeting at the home of Chelsea Football Club, Stamford Bridge it seemed an obvious choice to stay on site.
There are two hotels the Millennium and the Copthorne, we stayed in a Standard Double Room at the Copthorne.
The hotel is very well placed, a few minutes walk from Fulham Tube Station or if you drive it is next to but outside the congestion charge, so we can round the North Circular and missed the congestion charge completely.
The staff were very polite and helpful and the room was immaculately clean as you would expect from the venue and nicely quiet and restful, probably not the case on a match day.
There are two restaurants on site Frankies Sports Bar Grill, which we found to be very nice, great steaks but as you would expect for the location a little pricey, the hotel restaurant and a Marco Pierre White Restaurant.
There is an underground car park which costs around £25 for 24 hours, although this is not apparently available for hotel guests on a match day, so I would contact the hotel and see what they suggest for parking if you wish to stay on a match day.
A quick word of warning if you want to quickly pop to Kings Road shopping, although Stamford Bridge is only 2 minutes walk from Kings Road, it will actually take you about 10-15 minutes to get to the popular shopping section of Kings Road.
The cost of the Standard Double Room including VAT was about £140.00.
Overall I liked the hotel it was clean, very professional, friendly and relaxing, would I stay there again – definitely.
